Experience Requirements
-Knowledge of purchasing techniques, bills of materials and routings, inventory control techniques, and SAP / MRP practices and techniques required.

Qualification Requirements
-4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Management.
-Minimum of five years experience in Purchasing and Planning.
-SAP experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a medical device company with inventory, production planning, accounting and shipping/receiving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Responsible to manage, plan, coordinate, and implement all procurement processes to ensure that purchased goods and services support quality, cost, inventory, and service level standards. Responsible to continually evaluate the planning and purchasing requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity in meeting established Company standards.
-Manages procurement processes and ensures quality finished goods and manufacturing materials are purchased.
-Manages the purchasing section of the SAP / MRP system to ensure that quantity, cost, inventory, and delivery timetables are accurate and meet company objectives.
-Analyzes MRP requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity; determines future needs; decides min/max and economic order quantity; maintains data integrity of SAP / MRP planning system.
-Analyzes, evaluates, and controls inventory of finished goods and purchased parts.
-Prepares, reviews, and authorizes purchase requirements; manages all purchasing transactions.
-Expedites goods and/or services.
-Maintains the necessary purchasing files and documents.
-Maintains, develops, and evaluates supplier relationships.
-Negotiates terms, conditions, and costs.
-Establishes and oversees purchasing procedures and processes relative to electronic commerce.
-Uses computer to accomplish responsibilities.
-Creates shop orders to manufacture products required by customer purchase orders.
-Plans shop orders to be released and processed while monitoring capacity availability in key work centers.
-Interacts with Quality Control, Engineering, Production, and Finance, and all other staff as needed.
-Represents Purchasing with suppliers.
-Resolves problems with delivery, supply, invoicing, quality, etc.
-Maintains awareness of market trends, new products and materials, and recommends and advises changes.
-Keeps Management informed of procurement challenges and issues (pricing, availability, delivery quality, etc.).
-Maintains knowledge and compliance of company standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and ISO standards.
-Performs all duties within defined Company’s business objectives.
