Experience Requirements
1) Knowledge of CAD/CAM for designing and manufacturing 2) Experienced blue print reader and GD&T knowledge 3) Experience in the area of manufacturing operations with emphasis in the area of multi-axis milling, turning, Swiss turning, and EDM 4) Good oral and written communication skills 5) Ability to prioritize and work independently 6) Driven to resolve problems systematically and methodically 7) Teamwork oriented
 
Qualification Requirements
1) Associate's degree or the equivalent of in related field 2) Minimum of five years experience as a CNC programmer in a machine shop environment 3) Ability to write in G and M code
 
Preferred Qualifications
Medical industry background preferred.
 
Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: The CNC Programmer is responsible for translating and converting print dimensional specification to CNC code to ensure optimal product quality and performance. Analyzes operational data submitted by engineers, shop floor personnel, and / or customers as it applies to automated equipment operation. Identifies tooling requirements, both perishable and non-perishable, indexing sequences, speeds and feeds to conform to prescribed engineering data and industry standards. Develops multi-functional, multi-axis code to program machinery using CAM style software. Assists to prove-out programs on machines to test accuracy of methods and sequences, and ensure product conformance. Makes recommendations relative to corrections, modifications, improvements, etc. regarding to accuracy of programs. Prepares tooling and layout sheets for machine operators to setup jobs. Organizes and maintains library records and references in database formats. Documents and establishes standards for new products, adjusts and corrects existing programs to incorporate engineering changes, delivery improvements, and/or cost reductions. Participates in the resolution of corrective and preventive action reports to ensure product quality and scrap reduction. Relies heavily on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under minimal supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 1) Develop manufacturing processes and CNC programming to optimize manufacturing times including cycle and processes. 2) Implement cost reduction by working closely with engineering, quality and manufacturing to reduce scrap and waste. 3) Develop routing and standard times for new programs. 4) Assists in design reviews. 6) Design and assist in the manufacturing of fixtures and tooling. 7) Implement deviations, DCN’s and process changes through approval and release. NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES: 1) Provides assistance for quotations 2) Assists with Control Plans 3) Assists in MRB reviews 4) Determine equipment needs and create cost justification 5) Assists in equipment validation 6) Other duties as assigned
