Experience Requirements
Seven to ten years healthcare management business experience, knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations, sales management techniques and processes is required. Three to five years of demonstrated successful national accounts experience with direct GPO account responsibility with two or more of the following GPO’s: Novation, Premier, HealthTrust Purchasing Group, Amerinet, MedAssets, Broadlane. Business analysis experience and the ability to identify and implement improvement, self motivated and a self starter, PC database, WORD, PowerPoint and Excel skill sets a must, organizational, and planning skills are all required.
 
Qualification Requirements
Qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Must understand and ensure compliance with policy and all legal aspects of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) 'terms and conditions.
 
Preferred Qualifications
MBA. Experience with company with multiple line product portfolio covering multiple clinical disciplines. Five years + direct Novation and Premier Account responsibility with established relationships. Prior field sales, sales management and/or product management respnsibility. Experience in environment requiring strong analytical analysis and financial justification of recommendations. Experience with large Integrated Delivery Systems such as Kaiser, Tenet, Providence health, and Sutter Health.
 
Responsibilities
This position directs the sale of products through Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO’s) on a national basis. Develops and implements short and long-range sales and marketing plans to achieve sales product brand and budget goals. Collaborates with field sales organizations to identify and pursue opportunities, establishes and maintains strong customer relationships. Applies strong business analysis and planning skills to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Applies knowledge of National Accounts sales/management techniques and processes to achieve goals and grow business. This position will work remotely from a home office with travel greater than 50%. This position will also be responsible for the coordination and negotiation of new agreements through the RFI/RFP (request for information/request for proposal) process. A key role of this position will include obtaining and managing those agreements.
