In the beginning production focused on flexible rubber instruments. These were soon followed by other materials to satisfy the growing demand for high-end medical instruments. At the same time corporate development proceeded at an amazing pace and Rüsch instruments became well-known worldwide. In 1989 Rüsch became a part of Teleflex.
