Experience Requirements
Minimum of 3 years in leadership role. Expertise in; electrical, mechanical, equipment and facility maintenance. Knowledge of EHS and hazardous waste management, energy, controls/instrumentation, civil engineering, and HVAC.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
Must have previous experience with environmental, health and safety programs. Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PM software. Knowledge of industrial machine repair and electronics preferred. Confident knowledge of WDNR, EPA, DOT, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI regulations/standards. Detail oriented and efficient. Multi-tasked and able to work independently. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely fashion. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing facility maintenance and environmental, health and safety related activities. Supervise and schedule maintenance personnel (both employees and contractors). Accountable for capital project planning and management for site, building and equipment. Plant engineering responsibilities to include the development and design of building systems needed to support the manufacturing processes. Responsible for the development and implementation of EH&S initiatives, safe working practices, inspections and EH&S training for all employees. This includes responsibility for maintaining compliance to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations, including overseeing the site hazardous waste management program. Maintain computerized preventive maintenance schedule for facility, manufacturing machines and equipment. May assist technicians in maintenance and performs routine preventive maintenance activities as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilities Manager
Supervise maintenance technicians and schedule and prioritize jobs.
Assist operations in the development and execution of preventive maintenance plans. Projects will include facility and infrastructure planning, systems upgrades, procurement of parts and services as needed, and verification and validation support with IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols.
Fully utilize preventive maintenance system and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
Request quotes and negotiate service contracts.
Develop and implement equipment installation standards and monitor installations to assure they meet facility and safety standards;
Coordinate utility supply and connection to manufacturing equipment;
Provide engineering and technical support to make repairs, adding new features or functionality to new or existing equipment;
Collaborate with other operating departments within the company as well as supplier representatives to evaluate product, process or materials in order to execute operating plans;
Develop capital and expense budgets to deploy cost-effective initiatives;
Assist operations to review existing facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs;
Maintain and prepare updated maintenance part inventory reports as requested.
Maintain inventory of tools, machine components and safety equipment at prescribed levels. Write purchase requisitions and track purchased items through the order system including identity upon receipt, update of inventory records, label, and storage.
EHS Manager
Maintains and ensures compliance to OSHA and environmental standards along with, federal, state and local regulations.
Work in conjunction with Group EHS Manager to implement general safety policies and procedures to maintain compliance to local, State and federal requirements.
Responsible for the management of all site hazardous, non-hazardous and universal waste in accordance with federal and state regulations. Maintain a Hazardous Waste Coordinator (HWC) designation by obtaining annual hazardous / toxic waste management and hazardous materials transportation certifications.
Perform and coordinate regulated EH&S inspections including, but not limited to; hazardous waste area, satellite waste areas, safety showers and eyewashes, fire extinguishers, fire suppression system, etc.
Accountable for the maintenance, operation certifications and inspection of the facility fire suppression systems.
Train employees on safety policies and procedures (monthly safety training/meetings).
Leads accident investigation team, inspects and analyzes industrial accident causes, hazards and recommends corrective actions.
Leads the site Safety Team.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with ISO and FDA regulations for recording keeping and documentation.
Perform additional tasks for Facilities - form developing, recordkeeping and file maintenance.
General maintenance and other duties as assigned.
