Experience Requirements
Project management focus with the ability to facilitate cross functional teams while managing various objectives. Ability to remotely manage projects, communicate with and persuade plant/office at different levels. Excellence in closing sales from prototype through production. Demonstrated ability to be effective in a highly matrixed organization. A demonstrated track record for meeting sales objectives in a technology company; year over year results. Experience in multi-level, major account based sales processes. Demonstrated functional experience in areas such as strategic selling, Key Account Management. A solid understanding of the medical device industry, and, in particular, orthopedic implants and instruments. Possess clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal. Clinical experience, prior experience with end users, VMI/KanBan exposure is ideal but not required. Prior experience working from a home based office required. A high-energy self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, lean, entrepreneurial environment and will “roll up his/her sleeves” to get the job done. A team player that treats individuals with dignity and respect. A creative person with a proactive attitude, motivated to set aggressive goals and be measured against them. A person comfortable working in an environment of change and continuing organizational evolution.
 
Qualification Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Life Sciences is required. 5+ years of Sales experience with a leading medical device company. Selling cycles of 6-9 months typically. Travel requirements: 50% to 60% domestic and some potential international travel.
 
Preferred Qualifications
MBA is desired. OEM sales experience is preferred.
 
Responsibilities
Drive corporate customer sales and profit initiatives to achieve business goals. Work with sales and marketing management, develop and manage strategic sales plans to penetrate key accounts. Seek new opportunities and drive continuous improvement for coordination and management of existing business. Quantify business opportunities presented by customers’ new product/projects and work with technical and product development teams to define those. Create and maintain long term business relationships at the senior level with in your customer base. Drive proactive customer communication by conducting and leading internal/external business reviews with your customer base. Along with our Corporate Accounts team, facilitate customer contract negotiations (terms/conditions, product volumes and prices. Set-up/Attend Regional, National, and/or Global trade shows as necessary to support the business Prepare weekly/monthly reports as updates to the business. Ensure customer specification and requirements are current and easily transferable to Teleflex Medical OEM systems. Participate in operating plan activities to include budget, sales, profit and forecast. Building and reporting sales forecasts accurately is key. Evaluate territory performance against established objectives/guidelines (sales forecast, budget, number of new accounts, ect.) and take appropriate action to continuously improve performance Provide accurate forecast of sales for the territory by customer and product on a timely basis. Provide ongoing communication to management regarding customer risk, opportunity, development and direction in market. Comply with FDA and ISO Quality Systems requirements. Manage expenses within specified budget and company policy guidelines. Perform other related duties as required. Position based in the North East.
