Educational Requirements
High school degree or equivalent
Experience Requirements
Successful completion of a 4 or 5year apprenticeship program in an applicable field. A minimum of 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Qualification Requirements
Proficient in blue print reading, tolerance's, GDT, math and general computer skills. Experience utilizing CAD/CAM software. Ability to multi-task. Detail oriented and efficient. Able work closely with Product Development Engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of ISO standards along with medical manufacturing background preferred.
Responsibilities
Create working prototypes from 2-D prints, and solid models by utilizing modern machining and assembly practices. Set-up and operate CNC mill and lathe for prototype development. Set-up and operate manual vertical mill, lathe, grinder for prototype development. Ability to create the necessary documentation to allow a hand off from the PDC to the shop floor for production purposes. Create temporary/permanent tooling and fixtures as required. Ability to assemble components to assure a working product. Follow a job from creation through all operations, including final inspection and shipped as necessary. Complete all required inspection forms and job packets as required.
