Experience Requirements
3+ years of Product Management Experience preferred. Knowledge of access, diagnostic, interventional, therapeutic and closure procedures in areas of cardiovascular, neurovascular, urological/renal, and orthobiologics a plus. Experience in or with OEMs a plus.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus. Ability to travel to trade shows, conferences, trips to plants, training or other meetings as needed. Travel up to 30%.

This highly visible position will work with multidisciplinary teams to assist in short and long-term marketing initiatives for extrusions, devices and suture product lines and associated services.
Specifically focusing on:
Increase market share and revenue of Specialty products in the OEM marketplace to exceed financial targets. Development of Extrusions, Devices and Suture Product Plans that will provide supplemental and supportive information to the Strategic Plan. Access current pricing practices and develop a pricing strategy for assigned lines in alignment with product and company position in the marketplace. Work in conjunction with sales and operations on product sales forecasts. Work in conjunction with Product Development, R&D, and Sales to analyze and prioritize in-coming projects based on long-term revenue and profit generation. Partner with Surgical and Medical business units to take advantage of any synergies across the Teleflex Medical business. Develop connections to the end-user community to identify trends and clinical needs. Assist in the development of product sell sheets, website, training and other appropriate sales tools to ensure proper product positioning and drive sales and profitability of the surgical instrumentation business. Market research and evaluating customer/end user needs and satisfaction/perception of our product offering. Understand competitive landscape and market dynamics that impact assigned product lines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of product categorization model and identification of off-the-shelf samples for assigned product portfolio. Identify and recommend new product ideas/changes to enhance overall business. Evaluate and Quantify the feasibility of new product ideas/enhancements and ensures these changes are in alignment with customer/end user expectations. Analyze prices on assigned products and develop selling strategies and pricing model to maximize profitability. Work with Finance and Sales to track and improve the accuracy of forecasts and pipeline reports on assigned lines. Drive overall profitability through identification and implementation of process improvements and other key initiatives. Develop and implement product launches to sales and customers for new products. Create and produce quarterly business templates and reports for key customer accounts. Ensures that all customer and marketing communication pieces are updated in a timely manner. Monitors market, customer, and competitive activity for the marketplace. Identification of gaps and implementation of key initiatives to fill gaps appropriately. Be knowledgeable of and close to the customer (OEM and end user) to understand short- and long-term needs. Identify capabilities that need to be developed in-house / outsourced and work with multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement action plan. Support the sales team through the development of sales tools, effective, market based pricing strategies and promotional activities, and proper positioning of products. Develop product configurator for product selection that will be utilized by customer support functions and will ultimately be rolled-out on our website. Participate as appropriate on SAP implementation (Project Sirius). Support, attend, and report on activities at industry trade shows. Lead project teams, and bring new products from concept to commercialization through a multi-disciplinary team process. Reviews customer, sales and internal quality complaints and suggestions relative to assigned products and proactively relays information to appropriate departments with follow-up. Present product line updates at all sales/marketing meetings. Approve product performance specifications and material. Work with quality, regulatory, legal, and corporate communications as appropriate. Gather all pertinent data, statistics, financial analysis and market information to identify new product growth opportunities for internal/external development. Initiate and oversee product cost reduction programs with PD and Manufacturing to achieve margin objectives. Respond to customer’s and sales representative’s questions regarding competition, quality, complaints, and product usage. Work extensively with sales representatives in their territories to assist in selling products and to learn more of customer needs.
