Experience Requirements
The Senior Supervisor must be versatile in many aspects of machining and operations, quality standards, company policies and procedures as well as FDA guidelines and applications. The incumbent must be a motivational support for peers as well as management in the day-to-day operations and planning. Must also demonstrate a thorough knowledge of manufactured product use and applications. Attendance and flexibility in working schedule is required due to the expectations and variety of workloads and the teams work schedules.
Qualification Requirements
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 yrs of college;
5-10 years experience in catheters and/or clean room.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Responsibilities
Direct the activities of the plant’s operation on the first shift. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document team member performance, track attendance, and recommend reassignment or termination of unsatisfactory employees. Interview and recommend candidates for new hire
Plan day-to-day departmental operations, assign tasks to staff, authorizes overtime when approved by management, and controls costs and product waste.
Ensure all ISO quality standards and process procedures are maintained.
Supervise, coordinate, train, provide leadership, resolve disputes, and review the work of assigned staff.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding improvements to methods and procedures in assigned areas.
Act as liaison with other departments to facilitate material flow and prepare written/computer reports concerning assigned aspect of work.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers and programmer in coding of equipment
Perform those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department
Maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned or necessitated by business conditions or changes.
Observe all company rules and policies including safety and housekeeping.
PERIPHERAL DUTIES:
Organize tasks and communicate schedules and productions runs to team.
Mentor and train new employees in operation procedures and policies.
Monitor perishable supplies and tooling to assure productions schedules are not delayed.
