The new Arrow Triple-Lumen PICC offers minimized risk, maximized confidence

Teleflex Medical introduces the Arrow Pressure Injectable Triple-Lumen PICC. This triple-lumen PICC includes all the risk reduction features you trust from a leading brand of multi-lumen central venous catheters (CVCs). The Arrow Pressure Injectable Triple-Lumen PICC has the ability to pressure-inject contrast media. In addition it has central venous pressure monitoring (CVP) indication, clear and useful product labeling, a non-tapered catheter body for reduced risk of vessel occlusion, and the unique Arrow Blue FlexTip^®.

Unlike conventional non-contoured and trimmed PICCs, the Arrow Blue FlexTip has a soft, contoured design for smooth maneuvering through narrow vessels, which may result in reduced vessel trauma during insertion. Yet the catheter’s firmness maintains patency throughout treatment, as it withstands high-pressure injection for CT/MRI procedures. In addition to the unique tip design, Arrow multi-lumen PICCs also have staggered ports, which are designed to reduce the risk of incompatible medications mixing and forming a precipitate, which may result in occlusion when using trimmed catheters.

The Arrow Pressure Injectable Triple-Lumen PICC is capable of pressure injection of contrast media at 300 psi and a maximum flow rate of six milliliters per second. The improved catheter polymer is designed to have clear visualization under fluoroscopy and other radiographic studies, all with the same strength and flexibility commonly found in Arrow catheters.

The new Arrow Triple Lumen Pressure Injectable PICCs are also indicated for central venous pressure monitoring, a valuable tool for monitoring critically ill patients. It is now available in three lengths – 40, 50 and 55 cm - to meet your unique patient needs and appropriate insertion site location. They are available in Maximal Barrier Procedural trays for bedside procedures, which include all the modified Seldinger insertion components, skin preparation, flushing and dressing materials.
