5-10 years experience in manufacturing operations. 3 years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
 
Qualification Requirements
A.S./B.S. or equivalent experience with minimum of H.S. diploma/GED.

Must be versatile in areas of production, quality standards, company policies and procedures as well as ISO/FDA guidelines and regulations. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing with all levels. Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal insight, conflict resolution, customer orientation). An ability to think clearly, take initiative, and work independently. Strong leadership ability to drive for results (team development, ability to influence). Proficient personal computer and system software skills to accomplish word processing, worksheets, and production control systems. Requires ability to read blueprints, measurement instruments, and other QA gages. Personal attendance and flexibility in working schedule is required due to the expectations and variety of workloads and the team’s work schedules.
 
Responsibilities
Provides direct supervision of production activities in assigned area(s). Plans and assigns work, sets and monitors expectations, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Ensures training and development of all employees and monitors performance to expectations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all environmental, health, safety and related process procedures are adhered to by self and all employees. Supervise the production activities to achieve customer satisfaction and attainment of production schedules, lead and delivery times. Plans and leads production activities and established production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. Set and communicate clear expectations for your employees every day and if possible/applicable, by the hour. These expectations include rate, quality, set-up time, performance to standard work and documentation of production. Manage by walking around and provide feedback multiple times per day on how employees are progressing toward meeting the established goals and celebrate/recognize individual and team successes. When goals are missed, give feedback, investigate, determine root cause, and any corrective action. Be a leader of change by leading and implementing continuous improvement to maintain 5S, eliminate waste, standardize work, reduce costs and strive toward a lean operation. Verify self and all employees are following GMPs and are auditable at all times. Lead discussion with team leader and area employees to review production activity, operational issues, waste/scrap, and quality data to determine root cause, course of action to achieve goals, and potential improvements in process. Collaborates with pertinent departments and plant leadership to establish production, quality and cost control standards, production, product and staffing scheduling, and assist in budget preparation and monitoring. Coordinates production activities with purchasing, maintenance, materials, engineering and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment. Provides data and analysis on production, quality control, maintenance, and operational issues to determine root cause of nonconformity with product specifications, operating or production problems. Provide leadership and development of employees to continue raising expectations toward maintaining a high performing work team. Perform activities necessary for the effective management of the areas including: provision for the selection, development, motivation, recognition and counseling of employees; implementation of organization goals and objectives; and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed. Maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Ensure compliance with all plant, corporate, local, state, and federal policies and regulations. Monitor along with the team leader, perishable supplies and tooling to assure productions schedules are not delayed. Perform other duties as assigned or necessitated by business conditions or changes.
