Pilling
Pilling Warranty Effective May 15, 2007

This warranty may be modified from time to time by Teleflex Medical. Please check the Teleflex Medical website http://www.teleflexmedical.com/warranties/ for the current warranty.

Except as provided below, all Surgical Instruments stamped or etched with the Pilling® brand shall be free from manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for the life of the instrument. Teleflex Medical’s sole responsibility under all the warranty shall be, at Teleflex Medical’s option, to either repair, replace, or refurbish any instrument proving defective, free of charge. Teleflex Medical makes no warranty with respect to In-Ex branded instruments, lenses, malleable items, micro instruments, bougies and disposable products.

Life-Lok®
Pilling instruments that feature the Life-Lok box lock are warranted not to break or crack in the box lock area due to stress buildup for the life of the instrument.

Needle Holders
Pilling branded needle holders containing Tungsten Carbide (TC) inserts are warranted against cracking or fragmenting in the jaw for three (3) years.

Non-Disposable Laparoscopic Instruments
Pilling non-disposable laparoscopic instruments are warranted against failure in normal use for one (1) year. This warranty does not cover routine sharpening or refurbishment, or repair of damage caused by misuse.

The above warranties are contingent upon the proper maintenance and use of the instruments and do not cover instruments that have been modified without Teleflex Medical’s approval, or which have been subjected to unusual stress, or on which the original identification marks have been removed or altered.

Telescopes and Light Carriers
All light carriers and Rod Lens Telescopes etched with the Pilling name shall be free from manufacturing defects in material or workmanship. Any parts proving defective in the first 12 months of ownership will be serviced, repaired or replaced at Teleflex Medical’s option, free of charge.

Fiberoptic Illuminators

Fiberoptics Illuminators: 3 year warranty. Teleflex Medical warranties both parts and labor for a period of 3 years after purchase date. Products that have been exposed to abuse, misuse, physical damage or unauthorized repairs may not be covered. The 300 Watt Xenon lamp will be covered for 500 hours and the XenaLight lamp will be covered for 1,250 hours.

Headlamps: 3 year warranty. The warranty covers the headband and the headlamp module. The warranty does not apply to damages due to neglect or abuse. Please note that headlamp cables are not covered under the 3 year warranty. Please see information on the cable warranty under “Fiberoptic Cables”.

Fiberoptic Cables: 1 year warranty. Fiberoptic cables are covered against damage at the strain relief and endfittings. Cables are not covered against fiber breakage or broken glass rods due to abuse or poor handling. Cable endfittings are not warranted against burns from other brand illuminators.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY PROVIDED BY TELEFLEX MEDICAL. TELEFLEX MEDICAL DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL TELEFLEX MEDICAL HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED, ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, AND WHETHER OR NOT IT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
